CVS Health is creating unmatched products for today’s health care consumers. For plan members as well as anyone walking through the door of our community touchpoints, our integrated solutions are helping to lower costs and improve outcomes.

  • CVS HealthHUB locations provide customers with a convenient and compelling destination for managing their health. These specialized CVS stores provide access to a variety of services, including health services for both everyday and acute care needs, personalized support for certain chronic health conditions, and pharmacy programs to improve adherence.
  • Approximately 6 million Commercial and Medicare members are enrolled in a newly launched integrated plan with low-copay or no-copay at our approximately 1,100 MinuteClinics. Small Group members, who were first to adopt this benefit, are using MinuteClinics 25 percent more frequently. As a result, customers are seeing significant cost savings.
  • Our HealthHUB and MinuteClinic locations are key components of the recently introduced Aetna Connected Plan. In addition to zero-dollar copays at MinuteClinics for non-HSA plans, plan members benefit from competitive premiums, virtual care, use of Coram infusion services, and a standard medication formulary with 1- to 2-day prescription delivery.

Aetna Connected Plan

This first-of-its-kind plan demonstrates CVS Health’s combined capabilities in helping plan members access care when and where they need it – and at a more affordable price than a traditional plan. The Aetna Connected Plan – targeted to employers with 101 or more employees – combines CVS Health services with a carefully selected Aetna network of doctors, hospitals, and urgent care centers to deliver a more convenient and connected member experience. It also offers a premium savings of up to 20 percent compared with comparable PPO products in the market. Moreover, plan members benefit from access to care concierges and other services that are available through local CVS HealthHUB locations. The Aetna Connected plan is currently available in Missouri and Texas, with 15 more markets expected to be added by the end of 2021.

Subscription Program

Nearly 4 million people have enrolled in our subscription service since its launch in late 2019, with membership growing 160 percent year over year. One of the core components of our digital strategy, our subscription program is another way in which we are enhancing the CVS Pharmacy experience and providing access to more health-focused services and products. The program offers members a suite of in-store and online perks that include free national delivery on most medications and purchases, access to a 24/7 pharmacist hotline and 20 percent off all CVS Health brand products. In addition, members receive a variety of perks and bonus offers throughout the year. A subscription costs $5 per month or $48 a year, but members receive a monthly $10 promotional reward that can be used toward nearly all purchases in-store and online at CVS.com.

Subscription program benefits include the following:

  • Free one- to two-day delivery on qualifying prescriptions and most CVS.com purchases, with no minimum purchase required.
  • Access to a 24/7 pharmacist helpline to speak with a pharmacist who has secure access to your prescription history with CVS Pharmacy and can answer question about medications as well as suggest additional tools, resources, or services.
  • 20 percent discount on eligible CVS Health Brand products in-store and online at CVS.com, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, supplements, and personal care items.
  • A monthly $10 promotional reward that can be used on many items in-store and online and is automatically added to your ExtraCare card at the beginning of each monthly cycle.

Medicare Resource Center

At CVS HealthHUB locations in five states, we have opened Medicare Resource Centers to help seniors understand their plan options and provide them with year-round support. Each location is staffed by an independent insurance agent who can make recommendations across all available insurance companies and Medicare plans, not only Aetna’s. These no-cost consultations take place in a private room so that seniors can feel free to chat openly about their budgets and specific needs. And a side-by-side comparison makes it easier to understand and compare options. We believe that clearing up Medicare’s many complexities will give seniors more confidence in their decisions while giving them another reason to choose CVS Health as a valuable health resource. We are also providing information on other services that CVS Health has to offer while customers are visiting the store.
